Professor Sudha Sundar M Phil, MRCOG

Sudha Sundar is Professor of Gynaecological Oncology at the University of Birmingham and a Consultant at the Pan Birmingham Gynaecological Cancer centre, Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Sudha is the President Elect of the British gynaecological cancer society (BGCS) as well as the Chair of the BGCS guidelines committee. She is the first female Gynaecological Oncologist to be elected President of the BGCS.

Sudha trained in research in molecular oncology at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, Oxford and in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Oxford Deanery. She has received over 4 million pounds of peer reviewed grant funding and has authored several high impact papers and book chapters.

Sudha is the module lead for Oncology for Year 4 MBChB and is a faculty member for the MSc in Oncology at the University of Birmingham.

Professor Sean Kehoe MA(Oxon), DCH, MD, FRCOG

Professor Kehoe is the Lawson-Tait Professor of Gynaecological Cancer at the University of Birmingham.

Sean Kehoe, MD, FRCOG, qualified at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland 1983 and undertook training in Ireland obtaining his MRCOG. In 1990, he moved to England and was appointed the Cancer Research UK Fellow in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. His MD thesis was on tumor growth and immunity after surgery in ovarian cancer. He then undertook subspecialist training in gynecological oncology, and was appointed Senior Lecturer in gynecological oncology in 1997

In 2003, he was elected the Foundation Professor of Gynaecological Cancer, Oxford where he founded the Oxford Gynaecological Cancer Centre in 2005. In 2012 he was elected the Lawson-Tait Professor of Gynaecological Cancer, University of Birmingham and also elected a Senior Research Fellow at St. Peters College, Oxford.

He is the past President of the British Gynaecological Cancer Society .He has over 125 publications in papers/chapters, edited 7 books and is on various editorial boards. His research interests include evidence-based medicine, clinical trials, ovarian cancer, and he is CI for CHORUS—a large MRC trial on surgery in advanced ovarian cancer.

Dr Sampath Sudesh Sundar MS (General Surgery), MBA (Health Executive)

The Publishing Clinic team is led by Dr Sampath Sudesh Sundar. Sudesh trained as a surgeon and moved to Healthcare IT in 1998.

He has experience in working on large projects and was a member of the Lorenzo Core Clinical Team at NHS Connecting for Health. He then worked as an independent Subject Matter Expert in healthcare IT before starting Publishing Clinic.

He has a keen interest in harnessing the advantages of eLearning to support research and training of clinicians.
